kali's sword: activity 2
challenging the sense of separation
Our deepest longing is for re-union with God. The human mind tells us 'I' am 'here' and God is 'there'. The mind, through its ideas, creates a sense of 'I' and 'You', 'I' and 'It', 'Us' and 'Them' 'Here' and 'There' and 'Within' and 'Without'. Because of these concepts, we are convinced that we are separate from everything. Our ideas create a separation-experience that until we challenge it, trap us in the idea of loneliness.
The following exercises help you to move from the belief that you and God are one and the same, to the Absolute Knowing of this fact. Remember that these exercises may need to be performed a number of times before you see through the illusion of separation. |
"Until one has really searched for the
truth, really searched for who they are, they will not know the world, because
the world has so many secrets which are hidden from the mind of man. With your
eyes you can only see the three dimensions. That's why you have so much
judgment. If you can see beyond what your eyes can show you, there will be no
judgment."
"The more you work on yourself, the more the veil of ignorance will be removed and the more clearly you will see, because you will not see with these two eyes; you will see with the eyes of the spiritual heart." - Sri Swami Vishwananda |
