The Name 'Kali'
Why Kali is here Time and Death The Black Void why kali is hereAs human beings, we are the physical manifestations of countless ideas that we have collected in our creative journey through existence. Being of God, we once were great creators in a timeless Cosmos and we made manifest many glorious experiences. At some point we became lost in our Cosmic play, and forgot who we were, hypnotized by the illusions that we created. With our amnesia, we lost our sense of True Self, and we began to worship our ideas. Our ideas made us feel important. They created a false sense of meaningfulness. We became intensely focussed on our ideas, reinforcing them through endless repetition. Trapped in our timeless world of ideas, we lived lives that were shaped by them. With a growing inability to question our ideas, we eventually became slaves to them.
We longed for ourselves, but didn't understand the longing. The more we worshipped our ideas in an attempt to address that longing, the more lost we felt. We made kings and queens of people, people to 'lead' us, false Gods to worship. We created the concept of celebrity so that we could find meaning in physical life, and so that we would have something 'meaningful' to aspire to. We produced more artificial icons to kneel to, more false Gods to become ourselves. We thought that if we could make manifest every wondrous thing in the universe, that we would stop the longing, the soul pain. We created and created even more things, until we were tired of creating, and eventually we gave up because the pain still did not leave us. We became despondent, and we lost our nerve. Our energy dissipated because we began to believe in the concept of failure. We allowed others to create for us, imagining they knew what we needed to make the longing go away. We began to rely on others; we pandered to them, we made them our masters. We imagined that if we made ourselves important, if we made slaves of others, we would stop the pain in our hearts. To feel better about ourselves, we denigrated other people. We created slave races out of people who were willing to be slaves because they had given up hope of ever being happy. Living in a timeless state meant that we existed in prisons that would keep us locked up for eternity, but Kali heard our voiceless cries for help and she came to our rescue. God is who we are. Timeless, omnipresent and is Love itself. Kali is His aspect of Love and She is here now, to free us. time and deathThis is Kali's universe, and She created it with the sole purpose of freeing us from the bondage of our ideas. We are imprisoned by our beliefs, and only She knows how to undo the tightly-woven web of ideas that constitute the human mind. She has created this universe to anchor us, to stop us in our tracks, to re-group us. It is a universe of very specific properties of nature, properties that are designed to meet Her ends. There is no other universe like this one. It consists of many worlds with different qualities. All of these worlds are of form, and belong to the Unreal. All of them belong to the Wheel of Life on which we keep treading, on which we keep unravelling, until we are free. To gain freedom is to exist in a formless state where ideas no longer control or define us.
Time is an Unreal construct that exists only through relativity. Kali has designed this illusion as a hypnotic device that reminds us that we exist in a dream state created by our ideas. The illusion of time, and the illusion of the life-cycle remind us of the impermanence of all things made manifest out of the Black Void of the Creative Element. We are young, we are beautiful, and so we make much of it. We worship beauty and youth, and then we watch as it fades, and we are forced to seek that sense of Self that is beyond the dying body. We build houses, we take jobs, we buy beautiful objects, and we are shocked to find that when we lose these things, somehow something deep within remains. Through Kali, God removes all we have; He puts us through the pain of loss so that we find what was there all along. Impermanence removes the illusions of grandeur and importance that we attribute to ourselves and to events. Kings and queens die. Celebrities die. 'Important' people lose their importance as they age, as society goes on to engage their minds with new phenomena. New technological devices excite us. Then we become bored. Everything dies. Thoughts arise and fall, and nothing remains as it was. The death of everything; the impermanent nature of all things forces us to focus on who we are when our material belongings, our labels, and the human body no longer exists. As human beings, we place great emphasis on the body. To us the body represents life; the body is who we are. Death of the body brings an existential terror that we are forced to address at some point in our cycle of evolution. As the terror subsides over many incarnations of letting go, we acknowledge that Death is an illusion created by Kali for the purpose of undoing, and that Life itself is who we are. Life is God, God is Life. We are All That. the black voidThe Black Void refers to the field of pure potential that is Us. It is the field from which everything becomes manifest. All ideas are borne of this field. All things manifest materialize from this field. All universes, all worlds, all bodies begin here, in the Great Potential. This field IS who we are.
The Black Void is the field from which all our thoughts rise and fall. Our thoughts rise to be manifested, and they fall back into the field of empty potential when we release them for good. Those that are not released, will rise and fall till the day comes that we no longer need them. In Kali's World, we belong to Her. In our slave-like mental states, She brought us here. She placed us in Her care. Everything that we have ever manifested in our timeless existence, exists in the Black Void of potential. She has made Her will ours, and She determines which thoughts we will think, and that which we will not. We are not permitted to create anything new in this universe, for we now are challenged to let go of everything that we have created till now. To let go, we have to confront first, and everything that we are, every idea, every manifestation is held in the storehouse of the Black Void. The Black Void is otherwise known as the subconscious and the collective unconscious mind. Everything that exists in this world shares the same mind. Every form has life and consciousness, even the rocks and mountains that appear still. We are all moving in the same direction. We are all returning to the True Self. We all serve each other, in ways that we cannot even imagine. Kali's world is perfect. It is full of the pain of loss, for losing our ideas, and losing the concept that we are not this body is a difficult undoing. Kali has us in Her care. Kali is God, She is Us. We are all That One Consciousness. |
