Sri Mad Bhagavatham Dhyana by swami vishwaparapananda
The following mediation is one that is traditionally contemplated before reading the Sri Mad Bhagavatham. Which contains the lila of creation as it issues forth from the will of Narayana. For me, it very beautifully describes how I perceive Sri Swami Vishwananda . Below is the wonderful translation of Swami Ambikananda Saraswati.
Sri Mad Bhagavatham Dhyana
Meditation for the book of God
“We meditate on the transcendent reality from which this universe emerges, in which it abides and into which it returns. On that which is present in all things and transcends all things, which is self conscious, full, and which revealed to Brahma the Vedas. Which baffle even the best among the sages. On That through which even the three-fold creation, though unreal appears real by the power of Maya which is its own. In this glorious Bhagavantam given to us by the great sage Veda Vyasa, it is taught that the supreme religion free from self-deception in the guise of desire. In this text has been expounded the absolute reality which can be known only by those free of malice. It is the bestower of supreme bliss and uproots the three-fold agony of mind body and spirit.”
Another way to see it, for each of you who hold Guru as God is this: I meditate on the supreme Guru from which my life emerges. In whom I abide and into whom I return, I meditate on him who is present in all things and transcends all things, He who is self conscious, full, and who reveals to me all that I need. He who baffles even the best among sages. On Him through which even the three fold-creation, the unreal appears to be real by the power of his maya.
In his Self-effulgence I can learn the supreme religion of freedom from Self-deception by ever increasing my longing and surrender.
As He can only be known by those who are free from malice, I surrender my thought actions and words. It is He the eternally blissful one that uproots the agony of my body, mind and spirit. I discover all this through the story of my love for Him.
